Track 19:  Agent and Multiagent Technology

The WI2009 conference track "Agent and Multiagent Technology" addresses the development and the integration of agent-/multiagent-based software systems into the information systems of enterprises, and public administrations. Contributions to this track should either follow a functional perspective, or apply to an application-oriented perspective. In the functional perspective, the paper is supposed to address technological challenges, and to develop solutions which can successfully support the operation of business processes. Application-oriented contributions present innovative software systems based upon agent-/multiagent technologies, which have been developped to address a concrete business concern. Particularly welcome are experiments, case studies and field reports, which present the advantages, and also the disadvantages of agent-/multiagent technolgies in a convincing manner.

Possible topics:
  • agent-based knowledge management
  • agent-oriented software engineering (AOSE)
  • (multi-) agent technology and SOA, integration with middleware technologies like GRID and autonomic computing
  • (multi-) agent technology for ubiquitous computing and the internet of things
  • (multi-) agent technology for decentralized management of business processes
  • (multi-) agent technology for simulation und business games personalization
  • peer-to-peer computing, decentralized collaboration und coordination, self organization
  • agent-based negotiations and market models
